Hello,

I am running your Mars Clock setup on a raspberry pi, and I was wondering if there was anything I needed to (or could) do that would clean up the Perseverance page, e.g. change the mission status from "Future landing site" and remove/update the "Planned touchdown site..." info in yellow?

I'm not much of a Node/npm/JS person, so perhaps all it needs is some kind of update command.

Thank you for the nifty software!

Scott

Hi Scott. If it's connected to a network with access to the internet, the clock will check for updates to the resource file that contains the data every 24 hours. I've been waiting for confirmation from NASA on the landing coordinates before updating the file (I have some coords, but needed confirmation). Mars24 has been updated with new coordinates and I'm using that as my confirmation. The new file should be uploaded within the next 2 days - you shouldn't have to do anything, it should be automatic). I'm glad you're enjoying the software!

New data has been uploaded. If you have Perseverance data selected, you may have to go into the config options and select "Save & Exit" or "Abort" to load the new data (after the program has downloaded the new data - you can force this by restarting the application or rebooting the machine).

Scott, you can always edit the mission_data.json file, but whenever the program detects a new version for download it will overwrite your changes. Alternately, you can create a skin where you embed the text you want in it, in effect faking the text.

I am facing problems checking out your website. I am unable to find any information regarding your book. I am hopeful that you can offer me some help. Very sorry for bothering you.

Thank you Desiree, for looking. I haven't published any novels yet, they haven't met my own high standards. My current WIP has been in development for 3 years in an effort to iron out all the wrinkles, so there's hope yet. This is one of the problems of being obsessive about things, they have to meet a high bar before I'll let anyone else look at them.

Hello,

I've been a reader of your website for around 4 months and I would like first of all to say that I really enjoy it.

I've got recently some problems with my eyes which effects my reading ability.

Thereby I've a favor to ask. Is it possible for you to add podcast audio version of your articles on your website?

It would be very useful for people like me or others who like to listen to your content.

I've researched on that a bit and I found few free services that can help to do that.

Here are the websites that I found that can add audio podcast to your site for free, maybe there are more but I found these two which I think can be helpful.

https://websitevoice.com

https://www.text2speech.org/

Thank you in advance
